Infrared Sauna

Deep, soothing heat that penetrates below the skin. Sweat it out, ease tension, and melt away stress — all in 30 minutes.

Infrared saunas use invisible light wavelengths to heat your body directly, rather than heating the air around you like a traditional sauna. The result is a deeply penetrating warmth that reaches muscles, joints, and soft tissue at lower, more comfortable air temperatures — typically 120°F to 150°F compared to 180°F or higher in a conventional sauna.

At Chill N Out, our infrared sauna suite features full-spectrum infrared panels that deliver near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths. Each wavelength reaches a different depth, for a well-rounded, soothing experience. Many people find the warmth helps them feel relaxed, loosened up, and ready to sweat.

Many people who use an infrared sauna regularly say it helps them unwind, ease everyday aches, and feel refreshed. The lower air temperature makes it an accessible, comfortable way to enjoy the heat.

One of the things our Lakeland clients love most is how accessible infrared sauna is compared to traditional saunas. The lower air temperature means you can breathe comfortably and stay in longer, while still producing a deep, detoxifying sweat. Many of our members like to pair their sauna session with cryotherapy for a hot-and-cold contrast experience.

Whether you're winding down after a workout, training for your next 5K, or just need 30 minutes of uninterrupted calm in your week, our infrared sauna is one of the most versatile and relaxing services we offer. Drop in or book ahead — your body will thank you.

How It Works

1

Set your preferences

Choose your temperature (120–150°F) and session length (20–40 min). Our staff will show you how to adjust the infrared panels and set up your personal music or podcast.

2

Relax and sweat

Sit back in our private sauna suite. The infrared heat penetrates 1.5–2 inches below your skin, warming muscles and joints directly. You'll start sweating deeply within 10–15 minutes.

3

Cool down and hydrate

After your session, take a moment to cool down. We provide water and towels. Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, clear-headed, and lighter for hours afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is infrared different from a regular sauna?
Traditional saunas heat the air to 180°F+, which heats your body from the outside in. Infrared saunas use light waves to heat your body directly at lower air temps (120–150°F), penetrating deeper into muscle tissue while feeling more comfortable to breathe in.
What should I wear in the infrared sauna?
Wear comfortable, lightweight clothing — shorts and a tank top, a swimsuit, or even just a towel. The less clothing, the more direct infrared exposure your skin receives.
How often should I use the infrared sauna?
For general wellness, 2–4 times per week is ideal. Daily use is safe for most people. Many of our members come in 3 times a week and pair it with cryotherapy on the same visit.
Can infrared saunas help with weight loss?
An infrared sauna session gets your heart pumping and your body working as it cools itself, which some people enjoy as part of an active lifestyle. It's not a substitute for exercise and good nutrition, but many find it a relaxing complement to a healthy routine.
Will I feel too hot?
Most clients find infrared saunas much more comfortable than traditional saunas because the air temperature is lower. You control the heat level, and you can step out at any time.
Is it safe to use with health conditions?
Infrared sauna is safe for most people, but if you have cardiovascular issues, are pregnant, or have a fever, please consult your doctor first. We do a brief health screen before your first session.
How long does a session last?
Our standard session is 30 minutes, but you can book 20 or 40 minutes depending on your preference. First-timers often start with 20 minutes and work up.
What should I do before and after?
Hydrate well before your session — at least 16 oz of water. After, continue hydrating and give your body 10–15 minutes to cool down before any intense activity.
